Trails are actually as good as they have been all year...we recieved 2-3 inches of snow from Sunday night through this morning...it freshened things up, and added a little more coverage to the thin areas....right now most of the trails are nicely groomed....however...warm weather is on the way Thursday through Sunday...with possible rain friday....let's hope they are wrong....warm weather and rain are not what we need...so the trails are good with a few thin areas..right now....but by the weekend...who knows...40s and rain can do alot of damage in a short amount of time...again...let's hope the weather guys are wrong.
Btw...the 17 corridor has been groomed...the club filled in the swamp hole, and the cold weather did wonders for the trails that were groomed.

Also....I rode the lac du Flambeau area this weekend...and was amazed at how much more snow they had than minocqua...it's noticable...from Southwest Vilas into price county was really nice where it was groomed...there also seems to be more snow from the pier willow region and up to pike lake than what we have. The riding is good right now...but Friday and Saturday have me nervous.

Took a spin last night after work...trails were good...with a few thin spots in the pine forest areas, and a few rough spots in the swamps...also the Hiawatha was a bit snirty...but overall it was nice out there.

The question remains....will it hold up with 40 degree weather, and some rain in the forecast?? (Thunderstorms tomorrow?? WTH? IN FEBRUARY??)....it's been one of those winters where it seems we just cant get ahead...looking at my weather notes...we have not received more than 5 inches in any one snowfall this winter...and the season started late. I guess we will see what happens this weekend. I will update you sunday.

Yes, I agree things were really good in Price and western Vilas/Oneida Co. last weekend. Hope the area can survive the warm up this weekend. unfortunately next week doesn't hold much hope for fresh snow to recover from this weekends warm/wet weekend...
