Holding pattern....That's what we are in...trails took a big hit last weekend with rain and 40 degree temps...and surprisingly.. The trails got pounded...lots of folks out riding in the rain...trails through town are snirty, and gravelly....pavement is bare. lots of slush on the lakes...though it has started to tighten up a bit with our cooler weather.
We need more snow to improve conditions here. However...as I mentioned...there is more snow north of hwy 70, and east of highway 13...those trails seem to be holding up pretty good...you can still get some decent riding near lac du flambeau, pike lake, Phillips (east of ) park falls...of course going through most towns will get snirty and thin...but in the wooded areas it's not bad.
I'm parked TFN...or until we get more snow.
There might be some measureable snow sunday...too far out right now...but I will be watching this closely....THE WINTER FROM **** CONTINUES....pray for snow.
