Holding pattern....That's what we are in...trails took a big hit last weekend with rain and 40 degree temps...and surprisingly.. The trails got pounded...lots of folks out riding in the rain...trails through town are snirty, and gravelly....pavement is bare. lots of slush on the lakes...though it has started to tighten up a bit with our cooler weather.

We need more snow to improve conditions here. However...as I mentioned...there is more snow north of hwy 70, and east of highway 13...those trails seem to be holding up pretty good...you can still get some decent riding near lac du flambeau, pike lake, Phillips (east of ) park falls...of course going through most towns will get snirty and thin...but in the wooded areas it's not bad.

I'm parked TFN...or until we get more snow.

There might be some measureable snow sunday...too far out right now...but I will be watching this closely....THE WINTER FROM **** CONTINUES....pray for snow.

The 2 southern zones in Lincoln County are now closed. I closed some Gates this morning. In my opinion if you are going to ride anywhere off the Lake around the City of Tomahawk.

Bring extra Carbides and Slides, you will need them unless 4 inches of Snow falls out of the Sky. The forecast for 40 with Sun

on Saturday may be the Nail in the Coffin.

I am trying to be optimistic....but I do think you are right...mid 40's and sun forecast for Saturday...possible snow sunday...but with the way this year has gone...I'm not putting any faith in it....could be the earliest season closing in years up here, easily my worst year of riding in the past 25 years....as much as I hope it's not over...it just feels like an early spring is coming, and I think a HOT dry summer will follow..we are due...I guess we will see.

El Niño not good, and yes I heard hot dry summer on our way. Then huge winter next year!!! I made that last part up. Can't be worse than this year.
