I don't know why this posted side ways...lol (this is the trail behind my work)

Still snowing....a little over 4 " in the Tomahawk area
Rhinelander 4"....Eagle River 3", Merrill 5 ", Marathon County 5-6 "

So the majority of the snow went south...this storm was kind of a bust...we did get snow...but about 1/2 the forecast amounts...it is a good wet packy snow...which is what we need.

This should help the trails...and it is still snowing this morning...so not a complete bust...but you'd swear the world was coming to an end if you listen to weather guys the last 3 days...really silly how over board they go with this stuff...I will try and get out this evening, and see how the trails look....at least they are back to being ride able again...8-12 would have made the trails GREAT....but it is what it is.

Just took a short spin from Irma into town...quite a few sleds out...first off...there is a mud hole just north of the hog house..about 6 ft round..you can go around it...I didn't...got a little mud bath...so be careful..in that area...also the trail has not been groomed or panned yet..so its a bit rough in spots (especially in the swampy areas)...but there's plenty of snow..wasn't hitting rocks or sticks...if they groom it, it will be nice by the weekend....also in the pine forest along Hwy S it got a bit thin...but everything else was pretty good...I even have to rate the Hiawatha from sara park through town GOOD...wasn't hitting any rocks...that 4-5 inches helped nicely...of course if we get heavy traffic that could change...but right now over all...I'd rate it fair to good.

Also...I went across mohawksin...no slush by the markers...stick close to the markers, and you will find very little slush on the lakes.

Again...we didn't get all the snow we wanted...but it isn't bad out there...trails are definitely rideable.

Yes...that's normally better out that way....however....we have a jerk for a plow driver out by Bomba Bar.... Kelly Fire Lane (which is a snowmobile route) is thin in spots, because the guy keeps plowing it down to the dirt...but that's not the problem...he also has been plowing the edge of the roads (where the sleds run) almost into the ditch...there is just no reason to do this...it's been a snowmobile route for years...I have had several people stop into the bar and complain about this over the weekend.....so watch out over there. (the snowmobile club is aware of this, and I was told they would be talking to oneida county, about this issue).

Otherwise....the trails look great this morning on my way to work...both knight owls, and northwoods passage groomed last night....trails were flat...tight, and white...(it was too dark for pictures..but man they look good)

We did get another inch of snow over night, and it's cold this morning 5 below.....NWS says another 1-2 inches today, which would be added bonus to the trails....It may be a bit thin around here in spots...but it's pretty nice out there...of course..if it gets warm, or we get heavy traffic that could change.
