We did get around 2 inches of snow over night, AND the NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon, Oneida, Forest and Florence Counties....until 6PM tonight. Total accumulations will range from 4-8 inches for the Tomahawk, Minocqua, Rhinelander, Wausau, and Merrill areas.....with 5-9 inches expected in the Antigo, Crandon areas and Counties to the East and Northeast of there (Forest and Florence).

It started snowing around 5 AM, and is coming down pretty good right now in Tomahawk.....keep your fingers crossed....if we get what they are calling for the trails are going to be awesome by the weekend!! (across most of north Central Wisconsin).....you will basically be able to ride from Wausau north!!! ;)

Thanks for the update Attak man! We did a little riding up there over New Year's weekend, and the trails were overall pretty good for early season riding.
We are heading up this weekend. Looks like it should be pretty nice riding.
I'm glad my driveway isn't that steep!

Just got back from a short 60 mile spin....broke trail from irma to Hwy s....nobody out at all.....saw 3 sleds...it was awesome breaking trail...once I got to Hwy s, and headed towards mohawksin....trail was more packed, and had more traffic....Mohawksin had lots of drifting...the winds picked up, caused alot of drifting on the lakes...,so use caution on the lakes...the railroad grade was decent...but had a few rough spots were there had been more traffic....I headed up to Nokomis....lots of drifting there too....again becareful...I caught some air a few times tonight by surprise (but it was fun..lol)......there is between 6 and 8 inches of fresh snow...and temp has dropped 14 degrees in 2 hours....with the wind it was biting at times....hopefully it dies down over night....with the cold weather expected the next 3 days...if the clubs can get out and groom...these trails should be excellent by the weekend...we had the base...now we have the snow....better get up here and ride....i am wore out from my little ride...but man was that fun !! ..love breaking trail. :)

Thanks for the update. You can be counted on to give honest reports. We wait to hear what you have to say before we make the 7 hour drive up there.
