track grips on trailer gate for loading

As some of you know I purchased my first 4 stroke sled this year a XF1100 Crosstour, one thing I have noticed when I put it in the building for storage is the high low end torque as the track would spin on my shop trailer as well on the concrete floor where I keep it when trying to move it which raises a concern for me....loading it in trailer. Last year I purchased a New High Country enclosed trailer and it sits a little high so ramp a little steep, I usually put ski boots on when loading as I do run aggressive sno-trackers to ease the loading. I don't know the brand of guides in trailer but what comes with most. My concern is it being a longer track machine, the low-end torque and the steepness of door/ramp that I won't keep traction. I don't know if I am over thinking this but is a concern of mine and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and what to remedy? was thinking or removing center track grip sections and replacing with either strips of hyfax or some synthetic wood strips maybe 1" tall or so to provide more for the track to grab on to when loading and prevent loss of traction,

I'd recommend the Caliber products. They have pretty much everything for traction, guidance, etc.

Thanks Gary, I believe I have the TraxGrabber set up on my gate/door already and think I will remove and add the Grips, that's exactly what I was referring to and think it will solve the concern I have, Thanks!

Did you have the ski boots on when you had the issues?

the 1100 just has standard carbides on it, going to put st's on it as well, I run them on my catalyst. I just dont want to have to be pulling the crosstour up the ramp or have to get a running head start. the caliber grips are exactly what I was thinking of, will provide something for track to push against when climbing ramp. I have not loaded the 1100 on my snow mobile trailer yet, struggled with traction getting off shop trailer and moving across concrete floor.

The caliber products are very good and I have used the ski glides on all previous trailers. For track traction I used hyfax chunks. You are correct about the 4 strokes. All my trailers have spin marks from prior to installing track grips. Current trailer is a low door so I have left it unmodified.

thought about old track, using hyfax but for the $32 for the Caliber Grips kit, came with 72 stainless screws, thought it hardly worth screwing around with, may get one more kit for inside of trailer, but suppose could drag it back to gate if track breaks loose, may just see what happens. No I dont have power modes.

Agree. caliber stuff isn't too expensive and it's light.
