track size??

I have a 96 polaris ultra long track, looking to replace the track due to wear, tears, and stud pull throughs. The size it can with was a 133.5, will a 136 fit ok?? Any input would be great.

Bottome line: You won't be able to tighten the track properly if you get a 136" for that 133.5" suspension without some sort of modification.

136 won't work. I would find a 133 x 1 and go from there. I think I saw one listed here or on my local cragslist. I'll check that shortly.

Thanx for the input. The problem is that Tracksusa and Dennis kirk don't list a 133.5 track?? Haven't checked Camoplast or the dealer. The difference in size from a 133.5 to a 136 is 2.5 inches, will just changing rear idlers on the very back of the suspension be enough??

You would need more mods then would be worth doing. First call up tracksusa, and tell them what your looking for and maybe they can point you in the right direction. Also try kenssports they carry alot of tracks at prices about the same as tracksusa. http://www.kenssportspolarisparts.com/
Just try there and let us know what you found out.

Well, camoplast does not have a 133.5 track for this sled. They say a 136 is the only track that will fit, but it says that " modifications " are requried to fit. Been on the phone with them, unable to talk to a real person yet. Have been doing some math, move the skid back 1" and go with a 7.5" rear idler set-up and there will be room for adjustment. Any problems with that??? Some input would be nice, I figured that it might be about a 1/4" short but the room in the rear odlers is enough.

JUst a side note, but I would grab the 1.5 inch lug if you can get it. World of difference between the 1 inch and the 1.5 inch job. That is a great length for both on and off trail.

Well, thanx to all for the help and input. Picked up a track off of Ebay, 133.5 with a 1.5 lug. The saying is "go big or go home" so I took the advice from the replies. Thanx again to all.
