In our area EVERY PENNY get's to our club, the little groomer shaped jars for the Superior Snowmobile Club gets picked up after the season, tallyed up and put into the clubs fund to purchase tools, supplies etc. whatever may be needed. The no snow season will hit the clubs hard no groom, no money! We have had a few groomer jars stolen though, dirty rotten --- -----!! Thanks to all, we here at the cabins also put dollars collected from map purchases into the jars even though we pay for the maps. thanks everyone!
Years ago we had a few afternoon drinks at bar won't say WI or MI but very remote location. We threw about $15 on the bar for bar tender tip & left! I went back in the bar sleds running for napkin to wipe my ever fogging glasses & saw this creep slide his hand over & take the tip. I was like *** but just left without saying a word hopped on sled & rode off with my buds. I told my buddies later but everyone just laughed figured if the guy needed money that bad it was ok. Ok we were all making big bucks back then new sleds every couple of years but my point was if this can happen with a tip what happens to the trail money we stuff in jars? Creeps are everywhere!
Ya just have to have a little faith that the money goes where it's intended to. It is much appreciated!!! Please don't stop donating, and encourage your fellow riders to throw a few bucks in too.
You can always buy a groomer operator a cup of joe, but at least give him/her a thumbs up and respect of that fresh ribbon they just laid, and if in doubt you can always send $'s direct to a club of choice and better yet become a member!
