Trail permits will be harder to purchase this year maybe?

Sounds like the route wisconsin went. No preprinted anything. Get your permit 7-10 days after you pay for it, printed by a private company.

Not the way I'm understanding it. This would be the opposite of Wisconsin. You would have your permit as soon as you buy it.

Pre-Printed (Sorry best pictures I had. Some say these stick better. I think they look a lot nicer, and have a hologram down the left side.)

Printed On Site (Anywhere there is a hunting license machine. These look like they came off a dot matrix printer from the early 90's)

I personally have never had an issue with either, other than the look of them.

I would hope that this can be stopped. The printed on site not only takes longer but is more of an inconvenience than anyrhing. Lets face it no one wants to spend 15 min standing there with 25 other people waiting behind them. Ive ridden in tons of dif states mi is by far the easiest to get your sticker I think it will be foolish for them ti change up a system that works great.

I received an email from MSA that state changed direction for this upcoming season. I purchased my non resident trail passes directly from MSA. I received them in the mail about (3) weeks ago and put them on my sleds today.
Great not having to wait in line

Issue with DNR was resolved few weeks ago. Pre printed passes are ready and available as always.
Just received mine yesterday from MSA.

Rather see money go to anyone but the MSA until they open their books to all members and the public unless this policy has changed...

I ordered mine Saturday and got five of them for my friends, I like getting them now so we don’t have to stand in line and you can put them on when the weathers warmer at home and don’t have to worry about them sticking when you’re up there and it’s snowing and cold!

Annual Meeting was 10/19/19, public welcome and there were non-members in attendance. Books were there, open and responsible officers there to answer questions.

One other thing to consider is I believe if you wait & buy your trail permits from a retail place you have to pay with cash whereas if you order online you can charge them.

Looking at your public posted meeting notes I do not see your club balance or your in and out funding so please post if u say the MSA books are open...

ordered mine online thru MI DNR....came in a week.....easy peasy

Hi venturenorth...I just ordered mine thru MI DNR too. First time doing it this way. Had to buy a $1 sport card too. Im curious...Did you get the trail permit that looks nicer, is preprinted with hologram down left side or the uglier one that is printed on site? Like in pictures lofsfire posted. Does yours look like the orange one or green one? I like the orange looking one way better.

Note that MSA is now MISORVA.
I belong to about 7 different motorized clubs, none post financial data to their website. As I posted above, hard copies of their detailed financial data was provided at the open-to-the-public annual meeting as well as other meetings I've attended. If you want to know the numbers, show up. Dates and locations are posted to their web site.
