I got myself in a dangerous situation last year riding a very remote trail, alone, in a wet snow out of gas supply range if I had to turn back due to downed tree that blocked the trail. It was my last ride of year so I threw caution to the wind but I was very conscious that 1 large downed tree & I would be SOL. Locally I just Uturn go home get my huge woods handsaw & remove tree. So what I'm looking for is best tree removal tool that I can fit in my sport bags? What is available?

I got a folding saw.( $10 ) Well worth the money last year, riding after a wind storm. We were stopping every 1/4 mile to cut and get brush off the trail. As a member of the snowmobile club whose trails we were riding, I thought it was for our safety and for the next riders safety.
Picked up one of those chainsaw-on a-rope or pocket chainsaw at a flea market this summer. Will have to see how that works.
