Keep me away from that chipper! I need my arms for sledding next year!
We usually just throw the brush and limbs in the woods tho!

Scottiking OUT

Would a chipper that can accept up 17" limbs be a help if so I would be willing to bring one up and give a hand. Let me know and I would come up with my girl and our little guy for little get away. By the way does anyone have an in with a Canam dealer I want to get her a Outlander 800 in Yellow. She has wanted one forever and since she gave me my boy that is the least I can do for her.

By the way the chipper is not a junker it is a Vermeer almost brand new. We could pull it down the trails and put the brush right into it and save a ton of time.

My bro in law fixed me a grey goose and water the other day with a splash of lemon, holy cow was that good. Had a few and that there is a dangerous drink. I'll bring that!

Bird21: We sure appreciate your offer of a chipper and it will be discussed at Superior Snowmobile Club's next meeting (1st Wed of every month). We do just like Scottiking said-throw it off the side into the woods. When you get off the trail snowmobiling you have no idea what is under the snow.
We hope you can join us, even if its without your chipper. Our help in numbers seems to be growing with each year. Fun work and a good time.

Reminder to all: more info will be posted here in August regarding the trail work.
We do know some plans are in the works such as free lodging for trail workers, Deb at Krupp's Mini-Mart is again going to provide bag lunches for the workers on Saturday. Richard & Sandy at Krupp's Resort will again provide a cook-out on Saturday nite.
Many have stated they are going to help, so in August we will post detailed info so you can make your definite plans. Just wanted to give everyone advance notice on selected dates for our trail work.

I'm thinking (dangerous) what kind of beer to bring up for the brushing - probably something real good like Blatz???? Better yet, we had a great beer in MN that we drank in HS ,"North Star" beer brewed in Cold Springs I think. Real good but caused temporary blindness. Maybe some of the MN guys know if its still made - more likely banned.

Sept 16-17 and 18
Just a reminder that our trail work ates are about a month away. We have had some phone calls and e-mails indicating "I'll be there for sure" and "I hope to be there"
Our club has indicated that we have quite a bit of work to do this year. To give you an idea we need to cover approx 130 miles for the usual brushing and replacing broken signs and poles. There has been stickers placed on some signs and since this is not acceptable those signs also have to be replaced which is also an additional cost.
We also have to completely resign 2 trail rerouts due to winter logging which means extra brushing & digging lots of post holes. The decking on Ahola Creek bridge in Twin Lakes area needs to be replaced as the original is 10 years old and in unsafe condition.
Please let us know as soon as you can that you are definately going to help. Some are arriving the evening of the 15th so they are up & ready to go on the 16th. Either e-mail to kruppsresort@alphacomm.net or call Krupp's at 906-288-3404 or the club president Mike Sabo 906-288-3025.
Deb at Krupp's Mini-Mart will be supplying yummy bag lunches for all the workers for Saturday's lunch. There will be a cook-out provided by Krupp's Resort for all the trail workers on Saturday nite. Last year was the first time this was tryed and everyone seemed to enjoy the food & being together even though stories got "boot-deep" without the snow. Free lodging has been offered by Wildlife Refuge Cabins in South Range with Lori & Dave Sleeman and also at Krupp's Resort at Twin Lakes. Krupp's also has available some RV sites with full hook-up As additional offers of food & lodging are made from business's in the Greenland, Mass City, Twin Lakes area, the information will be posted.
When you are able to make plans, let us know so we'll have an idea on head count.

Ooops-I typed that whole subject once-took too long and got automatically logged off so I had to write it out to type it again and hurried to not lose it again so didn't proofread and instead of "ates" should be "dates"

How about just plain old "Cold Spring Beer"! That stuff was NASTY!

Man, I so wish I could join everyone. I'd love to do this for a weekend. Just can't make it work this year. Dang, out in the woods, using tools, cuttin' stuff down, diggin' holes, drivin' the wheeler.......argh argh argh.... i feel like Tim Taylor right now....
