Guys I ride with bought a new, leftover 23' Legend inline trailer last Fall. It wasn't cheap but the price wasn't bad since it was a year old model. I'm going in on it too over time but they had money now and I didn't...
Anyway, I wanted to get some input on what maintenance needs to be done to keep this thing in good condition. The trailer will sit outside, and we don't go on a ton of trips right now with younger kids, etc. so it will sit quite a bit. Hopefully this is something we'll keep for a long time.
Obviously we need to clean salt off it after trips. There's a car wash right by where it will be stored, so that will work out well.
We put a coat of wax on it a couple weeks ago. I noticed on some of the hardware, such as for the door latches, wherever there was a weld, those were starting to rust a bit. I assume we need to treat those with a wire brush and then rustoleum or something like that.
Also, I sprayed the underneath the best I could with fluid film.
What about the brakes?
On the Legend trailer the wiring is very well protected, so I'm hopeful that will hold up well.
