i did that all of last year its better if you leave the tailgate down and build a wood platform for the sled to sit on

More Pictures to come! i just got a later rack for my truck and making a platform so i can put my switch on the top of my range! its a lil redneck but all in good fun.
Hopefully it'll to look better than xxxmodrods cadilac!

I brought Mr Freezes summit x home last year from deluth in a Mazda truck (ranger)

We left the tail gate down, strapped it in with the good ratchet straps, no problems. it was a 144. Personally I think it would be safer to have the gate down and strap it in tight
