Trailers for Sleds or ATVs

Hey all...anyone have success using a 2-place enclosed trailer for both sleds and ATVs? By that I mean sleds in winter and ATVs spring thru fall. Recommend particular brands, sizes and configurations? Any obstacles? Would assume a cover that is more "boxey" in shape would be necessary due to the higher profile a full size ATV has.

Thanks.

If you want somewhat of a lighter-weight towing trailer, something along the lines of a Triton trailer with their aluminum enclosure may be of interest.

For use with atv's, you probably would want one that has a loading ramp and they do offer a trailer that does tilt, as well as has a ramp.

Triton's enclosures are made to be used for sleds & atv's.

May be other trailers out there as well, but I personally can say I had a Triton with a cover and it was a very good trailer.

Use a Triton drive on/off trailer with the ramp for both the sleds and ATV's.

Put eye 3 eye bolts in the front of the trailer (1 on each side and then 1 in the center) and 2 in the rear (centered for each quad). reinforced them underneath with a piece of treated 2x8 and used fender washers.

Simply remove the rear 2 eyebolts when using for the sleds and then reinstall when using for the quads. Have been doing this for several years. I have a Yamaha 350 Wolverine and a 350 Warrior and both fit just fine.

I use an open trailer for both and something I found that works nice is the recessed drop down "D" rings for the ATV's. When you are strapping down the ATV just flip up the ring, and for anything else just drop the ring down and drive over them. The other product that works great is the bullydog tie downs, they go over the tire and hook front and back never had one come loose yet.

Along with radsrh's comment of the d-rings, Triton's Elite trailers have a "quickslide" channel from front to rear to place their optional tie-down accessories in.

I use a Triton open. I have a RZR so a regular enclosed wouldn't work. I'm glad that someone ran their car into my 2 place enclosed last year. Their insurance totalled it. I actually got paid to use it all season too. If that wouldn't have happened, I wouldn't have a trailer to haul the RZR. It all worked out!
