Trails conditions north of Houghton bridge

We were there the 27th-31st and went south of bridge to twin lakes and trail 3 was unbearable. I saw on the website there a groomer was broke down. North of the bridge was a 9 out of 10. We rode in the keeweenaw 80% of the time.

We just pulled into copper and rode groomed trails all the way from Houghton , awesome job to the groomer drivers. !!! , every intersection I looked down the trail had looked to have been just groomed and had no markings of sleds on them yet , crazy..

This is why early and mid week riding are the best. I try to plan trips tuesday-Sat, and trails are always good tuesday till about noon on Friday then the traffic and moguls come. Enjoy and have fun.

Monday 1/2. Rode from the Trailside Resort (N Calumet) to Eagle Harbor ( 3 and 130) to Copper Harbor (130 and 3) then over to Lac La Belle (134) then back to Calumet (133 to 3 to 17). All trails were in excellent condition less a stretch of 133 nearing Bear Belly. Fortunately we still have most of our fillings. We did have to cross a small stream with open water - maybe 6' across and 6" deep, nothing challenging, but the better half just closed her eyes. I think we saw more groomers that sleds. Thank you to the drivers the trails were awesome.

I agree.. , I made a last minute call on going and it was the best 2 1/2 days of riding after the long holiday week I have had in a long time , I probably will be doing the same week again next year providing they have snow

Ok sounds good. I'll start applying that logic at work also. When it's extra busy I'll tell the owner to expect it to suck. Not my problem so I'm not going to ask my guys to work overtime.
