Maybe the Huron Mountain Club?
HMC? Yeah, right! Donald Trump couldn't get in there.
Trump could maybe get into (click →) Granot Loma, but not HMC! :highly_amused:

Henry Ford almost didn't get in; he waited for 13 years before being granted membership — which happened only after he managed to get the state highway (M-53) skirting the southern edge of the Huron Mountain Club cancelled — only then he was finally granted his full-time membership in the HMC, in 1929.

See (click →) M-35: The Highway Henry Ford Stopped.

Drove through the area on Tuesday afternoon and all the road crossings along 41 I saw looked awesome. I know Wednesday wasn't pretty in terms of temps, but I'd assume there was minimal traffic as well. I've read that trails are thin down in the Gwinn area - hopefully the entire U.P. gets hit early next week to replenish some of these areas!

Everything north of 41 is real good. We are riding off of Lake Michigamme. West of here on 8 sucks. The loggers have plowed it down to rocks and we had to ride power lines for about 5 miles. After that it was good though. Rode over to L’ande and back through big bay. Did a loop easy to Marquette and back through big bay too. Rode down to Gwynn last night. 2” of new snow on top of ice made it barely rideable.
Anybody know about Marquette mountain?

Got back Monday from staying in Ishpeming. Good as noted above. Don't head very far south, though. I didn't ride Saturday but most of our group did. The went to Lakenenland and then headed to Gwinn. They said Gwinn was dirt and they almost had to turn around. There was a pretty defined line north of Gwinn where they came back to the good snow.
