In the UP they have run groomers in to April if the snow is there.

The answer still is March 31st, unless An extension is allowed. (Very rare).

I think we had this thread a couple years ago and I thought we decided you could run a snowmobile down the Bill Nicholls trail on the 4th of July if you wanted.
Pretty sure you could. But many of the other trails are on private lands and are only open until the 31st unless an extension is granted by the landowner...
