Trespassing

Here in MN the trails open Dec 1st until April 1st, and the 8ft of road right away is open year round. I'm happy that it isn't as regulated as WI, where the whole county has to decide when its okay to ride, but I do think that it contributes a little bit to people going places they shouldn't because snow is on the ground.

Plus most country roads are 60MPH instead of 55 like in WI..that means 69MPH..sweet.

Idk about that if whole county is open at same time and you stay on marked trails you’re good and should not be trespassing. If trails are open in an area and some are closed sounds like a receipe for mistaken trespassing.

Saw that earlier in the week on FB.

What is startling is the reaction to sled trespassing posts on FB. About 2/3rds to 3/4ths will be folks that are equally perturbed at the behavior, but what is shocking is the total lack of give-a-sh*t and LOL-type messages from the other 1/3rd to 1/4th. Like a bunch of grown men who have the intellect of elementary school children.

I’ve long thought that sledding has a substantial loser, white trash, low IQ contingent that I’ve never seen in any other sport or hobby. It’s weird. Really weird.
We live near a golf course and walk it in the winter. There are so many beer cans in the woods. I think the idiots are in every activity.

Number of years of growing up riding in Kenosha and walworth where it would snow but trails hadn’t been given the green light yet. Ground damage is more common down that way due to warmer temps so I get it, but it’s more up to you if you want to damage your sled or not up in Mn now. Like yesterday we got 7” and sloppy messy, but guarantee sleds everywhere.

Trails open it’s always up to the user if conditions suit his use. For me it ain’t worth it unless conditions are pretty good. I’m certainly not a hyfax and carbide consumer with my sled but understand there are peeps that ride if it’s white. Lol. My 16 years in the Eagle River area where groomers make due with a couple inches of snow and renters thought it was great think snirt is the norm. Lol. Imo have fun in any conditions but make sure you’re not trespassing as trespassing closes trails.
