Hey guys,

I usually ride a northern Wisconsin but I'm heading to Watersmeet this coming weekend and looking for some suggestions on some day trips in the UP. We are staying at the casino. I've been to Lake Gogebic but that's about it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

We rode up to toivola taking trail 3 up to Bruce's crossing then up to mass city all the way to toivola had lunch then back down to Krupps gassed up then 109 down to Alston stayed on 109 to 8/15 to sidnaw then to Kenton then 107 back to watersmeet just over 170 miles from Krupps back to watersmeet 85 miles passed no other sleds but did pass 2 groomers. You can also make it to lake of the clouds and back in a day. There is some railroad grades you will have to ride at some point but that is part of the western UP but all trails should be good.

Geezz all kinds of super loops from WM! Best of it E to I/R then north I stay east of Bergland but everything north & east of there is available to you. Gas is plentiful every 30 miles are so but careful with gas fill ups in Silver City gas range is White Pine going northeast keep Amasa Gas as target too. Not much until Sidnaw on 15N but beautiful Twisty trail. Get some maps & ride but my advise would be to ride the interior stay off 3 & really see the UP. Grades going to be cold next 2 days stay on Twistys.

No problem just me .....more traffic west of Bergland not my thing also have not been to Ontonagon in a very long time to but might be better don't know. I tend to say off the beaten path away from traffic.

can you tell me if the 15 and 14 are twisty or can a guy make some time on those two trails?
was thinking about taking trail 5/ 8 back, is that about the same mileage?

Thanks again

Very nice trails haul butt all you want have many turns on pipeline BUT only haul if you can hold your line if not you would be dangerous to oncoming traffic can't see around sweepers.

15/8N out of sidnaw, pipeline is fast and fun....14E out of L'Anse to Big Bay is one of the best U.P. trails, mostly wooded but wide..45 mi.........be sure to go up spur trail to Mt Arvon if weather is clear...

5S out of Big Bay is good too, .....8W Nauganee back to 15 is boring IMO ..power lines.....better route would be 5S to Republic and then 18W to Amasa, 111W to 15S to 2W and Wtsmeet...looking at about 225 mi from Big Bay

we are going tomorrow.....
