Anyone have one...pull the same as the 2KF enclosed? I am in between the TC128 or the 2KF.

Just traded in my Triton Elite 12' with 2KF enclosure for a new TC128 this last fall. I have not pulled the TC128 on a long trip as of yet, however it seems to pull very easily on several short distances that I have driven with it. I loved my old trailer, however the interior height was not enough to allow the use of extra tall windshields on our sleds. If that is a concern and you are leaning towards the 2KF, it is available in a Tall Boy version. FYI, I really like the new TC128.

also the 2kf can be a real bear when full of snow. I tore the rear handle off my 2kf before .
I have the 2kf on a v nose with ramps . my bud has it on a tilt. I don't really like my buds tilt .
my next 2 place will be the tc128 or similar.

I have a 10' 2KF drive on/drive off. Before I bought it a few months ago I heavily researched the options. I also considered the TC128 or the R&R version.

Clamshell is a bit cheaper and lighter. The shape of the cover is a bit more aerodynamic so I would expect slightly better fuel economy.

Hybrid advantages: more solid trailer - no need for front opening/drive off if you have reverse. Easier to use the hybrid for purposes other than hauling sleds. Don't have to duck your head down when loading/unloading. Don't have to fight the top if it is covered in snow. No tilting required or fussing with a ramp or worry about it getting stolen. You can also hang some lighter stuff on the walls

Hybrid cons: The hybrid will require more lengths of track mats and ski guides for the ramp. Expect slightly lower fuel economy. The hybrid is several inches taller and the square back is not the most fuel efficient shape. I've read some complaints about the ramp angle being aggressive on the hybrid. The 13ft R&R has a tapered rear section that reduces ramp angle.

Hybrids also seem to hold their value better. I didn't see many available on the used market and was very close to pulling the trigger on a new R&R when before I bought the used trailer I now have. From what I can gather the build quality is superior on the Triton. I've read of some folks having trouble with the front access door leaking on the Triton.

If you can swing the hybrid do it! Clams are nice, but worse thing is having a frozen lid or having to get snow off the top to open it. Remember a good trailer is the only thing you won't lose your *** on in this hobby. I predict that I will either break even or sell my clam for a profit when it's time to upgrade.

Yeah the used market is ziltch for either or. I am leaning toward the TC. Locally here the TC with the fuel door is going for little under 5K. I think I'll pull the trigger here and the end of the season. Thanks for info.
