I see on Mi trail map that 124 is slated to reopen 01/15/24 does anyone know if that is still on par to happen? and I thought I had heard 133 was also closed but don't see that indicated on DNR map, any intel would be greatly appreciated!

124 is closed until 1/15/2025 due to logging. 133 was cleared to open on Dec 19th, however, due to the many wet areas is currently not rideable until we get more cold & snow. With that in mind, the next 4-5 days look to have temps in the mid to upper 30's to near 40 with rain forecasted tonight into tomorrow with up to 1/2 to 3/4" of rainfall expected. Not going to be good conditions for a while.

The third week of January should under normal conditions be Ok. Tough to say how it's going to be in 3 weeks especially considering the roller coaster weather patterns we've all been seeing. I know you would like to make a loop back from Lac La Belle to Gay, but, if 133 isn't rideable, you could backtrack to 124 to get to Gay or run to Gay first then backtrack out on 124 to 3 to head North to Lac La Belle. Just a thought. FWIW, that particular trail has always been a problem child. Fortunately when I was riding, we had ways to get around it on old logging roads. Good luck in your planning. Enjoy!
