trying to find an intermitent open

somtimes you press the start button and only the relay clicks.manual says it's a wiring issue, somthing going open.i think i'll have to replace the little ground wire that runs from side of solenoid to the relay.trying to follow a wire on an ultra classic is pretty tough. any ideas?

there is a ground wire that runs from the starter relay down to the solenoid and it terminates in a plastic conector that plugs into the solenoid to complete the cuircut. it is not weather proof and is down at the level that rain and road grime can get at it. just a heads up to check yours and maybe spray something on it or dielectric gease it as it gets a coating of corrosion on it after 10 years.
