Here is the webcam shot from Parkview in Twin Lakes this morning. No more seeing the sleds parked or the trail. :) It looks like they got nailed overnight! Kruppy and Scottiking's snowmen are getting buried on the other cams as well. Should be great off trail riding.

John said in another thread that Twin Lakes is closing in on 30" in the past 24 hours! Wow

It was a modified Bayfield Bomber. I have been studying the satellite imagery from the past 18-29 hours and it looks like the lake ice kept the typical location of the Bayfield Bomber banding further south and on a line from around Twin Lakes to Alston/Pelkie and Baraga.

Trying to decide this kind of event should have it's own name. Maybe the Findland Firehose, as the banding started around the MN shoreline near Finland.

In Greenland I'd say we hit the 30 inch mark with ease!!!!!!!! Took me 35 minutes to go 5 miles to work this morning.

A friend of mine is up with another couple and they sent this pic from Henry's today. They said they have never seen it quite like that up there.

Driving to work this morning was downright ridiculous. At 5 am the highways had 12" to 16" of snow on them. Near work I had to turn off traction control and go into full rally mode.

Isn't that why you're up there, eh? Enjoy it! I only wish I were there! Oh, PD, I always carry a snow bungee, I'd be glad to help get out!
