Universal Rear Suspension Hangers

I've found what i've been looking for a good price finally. Everytime i've looked at some of these they're always $100. These are $40. They're rear suspension hangers which can raise a suspension by attaching these to the tunnel. i have a 99 indy 500 with 7000 miles and the track rubs on the tunnel when i bottom out so i wanted to raise the suspension and get it away from the tunnel. And my suspension slouches quite a bit with 7000 miles on it. I don't want to spend the money on new shocks and springs. and i think this is pretty cheap for what i need. What would i need to do to attach these to my sled? rivet? weld? i'm assuming weld. I had these on one of my other sleds. a 93 indy trail and i would love these on my sled now.

ttt how would someone put these things on? weld? has anybody else tried something like this?

You can't weld steel to an aluminum tunnel. You have to use steel pop rivets. This will not make you sled ride better, it will only move the suspension farther out of the tunnel and likely effect handeling adversly. The only reson to move the suspension farther out of the tunnel is for deep snow riding. Get your shocks rebuilt and if you don't have the SP with FOX shocks look around on ebay or Craigslist and find some for an xtra 10. The rear track shock is the same as a Cat ZR shock (14 1/2" and the front track shock is 11" eye to eye). Even if you only replace or rebuild the rear it will help a bunch. Your springs a fine unless you are 300 lbs. ... Dave

i do some deep powder riding and mostly the reasoning why i want these is because my track rubs on the tunnel when i bottom out badly. for example i hit a big jump and land, the suspension bottoms out and the track hits the tunnel. And, i need a new track. and i can't go any bigger because the track will rub more if i don't add these. i have been looking for used skids and used shocks but can't find any for a decent price
