Does anyone have any real information on the power outage in the UP? UPPCO website still shows power outages in the snow belt area of the western UP. Ontonogan area 10,000+ customers out of power?

As of 1 p.m. EST, here is the latest update regarding early morning thunderstorms that brought high winds and lightning to many parts of Upper Peninsula Power Company’s service territory resulting in outages impacting many UPPCO customers.
• Thousands of UPPCO customers in the western U.P. located in an area running approximately from Chassell west to Ontonagon County and north to Houghton and Keweenaw counties are still remain without power.
• The storm caused trees and branches to fall on three American Transmission Company transmission lines, subsequently causing outages and impacting UPPCO’s distribution system and customers. UPPCO crews have been working since earlier this morning, patrolling the ATC lines and taking efforts to restore power.
