Last year my 7 year old son said the magic words. Dad I need my snowmobile to be faster. Should I upgrade the 120 or move up to a bigger sled ? Any opinions on what route you went would be great. If i moved up what sleds would he be able to handle. Were just riding the local fields in Illinois.

How long has he been on the 120? Every kid wants a faster sled, if you give him what he wants now, what happens 3 years from now, then 2 years after that and so on. I guess my opinion would be to stick to the 120 for now, then move up when he's a little older and closer to being able to legally drive a sled on property that you don't own.

well toss a brigs animal in it and it will do 40 .
prob money ahead to find him a old 340 and sell the 120 close to x mass.
if u can find a freestyle 300 that is a kids sled that also losses no money and u will have a waiting list of guys who want to buy it when u are done with it

We didn't go the 120 route as the kids grow out of them to quick. When our youngest turned 6 we purchased a 95 Yamaha 340. He started out riding around the house and some fields and now is 8 and rides all over perfect. The pic is last yr. when he was only 7 yrs. old and we we're up at our cabin and he was racing across Little Boy Lake. We did the same with our oldest and have just moved her up to larger sleds over the yrs. Last yr. she turned 14 and we p/u a good shape ZR 700 for her.
