Hit the dealer today, Poo VES oil, $36 a gallon. Got 4. Anyways, $10,000-$12,000 per unit... . REALLY!?!
The sport will die fast at those prices. Really? Insane?? Rich man activity. Get me a 800 xc sp for $5000 and you got me. But $12,000 I think not. It all went south around 05-06. EPA and latest, greatest. I am almost out .

There are deals out there and obviously the slow start to the season isn't helping. I've sold all mine this year already. Didn't quite get what I wanted but was also getting tired of working around them since I sold the trailer so fast. Ended up selling all three in separate deals for $200 less than I listed the package deal for here in September so overall probably a decent deal for the buyers and I'm not going to look back and think I gave them away. What was interesting is that none of the buyers were local. The Panthers went to a guy 100 miles away, the f8 guy was from southern IL about a 5 hour drive and the Crossfire went to a guy by Lansing, another 5 hour drive. Good for me as the seller, but no way would I go that far unless it was a smoking deal.

The early 4 stroke Yamahas had cam chain tensioner 05 to 08 3 cylinder. I had two of these 05 06 the wheels in the suspension were bad hard on belts. They were still good sleds if you got these item fixed.

i believe only a small percentage actually had cam chain tensioner issuses and the wheels were ok with regular maintenance. we had them. 12000 miles and enjoyed them all!! no problems

I wish I knew the number of engine failures attributed to CCT failure. A very very low number I'd bet. Another "problem" blown up by the internet. Stator failures were way more common. My 05 Vector was the only sled that has left me stranded on the trail EVER. Stator had failed during the ride and after a stop on the trail...went to restart it and the sled was dead.
