I agree...i looked at both the Ip4 and a droid this past summer and decided on an HTC droid. I am on verizon and have the HTC incredbile and tether with the phone's native hotspot app. As previously mentioned, there are apps that can be purchased, but if the phone is rooted(unlocked) many droid phones are already setup to be tethered without having to add an additional app. I didn't replace my home internet service, but i tether often when traveling and it works flawlessly.
