Vibration on a 07 XRS

I have a 2007 XRS 600. There is a vibration coming from under the tunnel starting when I hit 40. Do anti rachet drivers have any weird feel or noise to them? The track is studded and there are studs in the path of the of the inside bogie wheels. They feel nice and flat. I had my mechanic check it out and he said the the drivers and and everything else checked out good. His belief is it the studs are causing the vibration. I was going to pull them out but that turned out easier said than done. my question is should i take the risk (that the studs are causing it)and buy a new ripsaw.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Are the studs installed in such a way that the track is balanced? If you are missing a few in a row it can set up a vibration. Make certain all the stud backers are in place. It only takes one to create a problem. Make certain all studs are tight. I once had a T-Cat that had a tick that turned out to be a partially torn out stud hitting the front heat exchanger. It was a pain to figure out because when you pulled the track around by hand you couldn't see it. Only when the track was spinning and there was some centrifugal force applied the thing would pooch out. Studs can do weird things. That is why they are all female.

My dad's 99 xc sp 700 had studs in the line of the bogey wheels and caused a MAJOR vibration at 50 mph. A vibration so bad you didn't want to ride. Well, "getsome" recommended to me to pull them because that could be causing the problems. I did that, next day, didn't vibrate one bit. Are your studs woody's? because they have grooves on them that attract more snow the faster you go.
