Walleye Fishing gone wild

What a monster! Took some real skill (and patience) to get that beast in with light tackle. I'm sure it made for an exciting experience.

wow nice fish
looks like he is on his deck
did he catch it off the dock ?
Yes he is on his deck, his 92 year old Dad took the picture, He was fishing walleyes in 35ft of water out on the lake, we have been fishing that dropoff for 40 years, it's not the first musky that we boated on a jig and 6lb test this time of year. Still lots of musky fisherman out on our chain, walleyes are deep right now as they have transitioned. The weather has been very nice here as you know but I think it will change in the week. We will probably fish until 2nd or 3rd week in November.

That is a beast! On top of that the light line & tackle used is amazing. Glad to hear of the catch & release, let em go to let em grow. Nice!

Always let the big ones go back for someone else to hopefully enjoy. We just snap a few pictures and watch them swim away for another day. It's kind of cool to see them back in the water where they belong, same goes for the larger walleyes that we catch.

Ok, everyone we have handled was released and looked very healthy swimming away. Hard to get a picture without handling them.
