I washed my Polaris cover in a washing machine once. It came out in pieces. I decided it was a sign from God and traded for an Arctic Cat. Now i just take my covers to a self serve carwash and hang them up on the wall and blast away. Seem to work.

I've done both, Pressure and Washing. My wife would never let me use our Washing Machine so I used a commercial one at a laundrymat. It worked really well on the canvas cover. My current cover is more of a synthetic material with cloth on the inside. That too was washed last spring and I just hung it outside to dry. I've had no issues with either but I probably wouldn't wash them more than once a year. I would think sun light and the wind at road speed is the worst for wear on the covers.

By the way, you're going to get some dirty looks when you take that thing in to the laundry mat. Best to wait for late evening or early morning when the "hens" aren't around!

I also have washed covers at the launderymat with no issues.
I would hate to have to use a launderymat to wash my stuff with all the nasty stuff people wash at them

Another option is to cover sled with a plastic drop cloth, then put cover on and use soapy warm water and a car brush then rinse well and let air dry. Then in the spring after I have did this and it is all dry I use a small spray bottle and wet it down with Thompsons water seal.Makes covers look like new and shed water like a seal...

I don't wash mine anymore cuz it seams to wash out the dye, but the couple times I did I just hung them from whatever and used the garden hose.

I washed my Cat covers often with a front load washer. Hung 'em in the basement to dry. I was afraid putting them in the dryer would shrink 'em too much. No problems after several years.

I just washed my three covers - used the wifes front loader on a delicate spin cycle. No problems yet. Have them hangig in the basement to dry. Two of the covers are 20+ years old and look better then then have in a long time.

I used to take mine to the Laundromat, no problems.
Now I just go straight to the local pressure washer and wash the trailer, covers and snowmobiles off after every trip
have to get the salt off

Car Wash... Get your sleds home ( covers on wash while on-- take them off & rinse again-- then use the rest of the wash to hose off the sleds - even the insides--damm road salt--go home & use wd40 on exhaust y-pipe) Walk into your house & say baby i'm home where's my beer.............
