Going west out of town is a little thin also but by the time you get to trail 13 south it is a lot better also.

Holy crap are the sleds on the Cisco chain today, I know it’s Bents camp radar run but there are so many sleds at Cisco bar you could swear it was Bent’s

I saw how beat the trail was east out of Bents was after the event, so I wonder how it was heading north out of the chain at the Cisco bar as that is the only trail. I hope the groomer hit the trail east after the event to fix some of major moguls, but traffic was still heavy.

13 going north of Cisco was getting rough by 1:00 in the afternoon but groomers were out last night but I know it is going to take a few days of grooming to pull snow back into the middle of the trail and hopefully start setting back up.

@goofy600 A couple questions if you don’t mind.
Trail 100 was closed for logging and a rumored reroute was not done To the south end of the lake?
Trail 13 north from the grade is still open going north on the east side of Gogebic?
Trail 1 on the west side of the lake still has no path groomed to Gogebic anywhere between Marenisco and Bergland??
Thank You in advance!!

This is not the area that I groom so I don’t have complete answers but to the best of my knowledge trail 13 is open from trail 2 to the south all the way to trail 8 in the north end. I haven’t heard if they did get a reroute yet and haven’t seen anything on groomer tracker of one. As far as I know there is no connection of trail 1 on the west side to the lake either. I haven’t ridden that way in over a week but if I get to Marenisco or somewhere near the lake I’ll check more. Sorry not a big help but at least we are getting some snow and more trails are becoming rideable.

Yes I rode Trail 13 south from Trail 8 in Bergland area to Trail 2 on Saturday. It was pretty rough but by how many sleds were at Bents Camp Im surprised there is anything left to it.

Any good stops close to Watersmeet?

We stopped in some dumpy place a few years ago (not sure where, east side of the road?). The ladies were not impressed.

If ladies want fancy stop at the casino they welcome sled biz. Rogers bar is a nice little bar / restaurant off the trail but definitely not fancy but good food.

Thanks for the replies.

Do not need fancy, just decent bar food.

Granted it was a few years ago all we wanted was a couple of beers and warm up. The bartender was a crab, bathrooms were a mess, and all we could get was frozen pizza. LOL!

Really everything you need at the casino , food , premium gas , convenience store and entertainment and of course clean bathrooms for the ladies. Take trail LL off 2 downtown Watersmeet by Headwaters Polaris will take you into the casino parking lot and gas station. Park sleds go in casino eat , drink , enjoy yourself, easy peasy.

Rogers has good bar food, chili, etc. Bent's has great food, about anything you would want, also great atmosphere. Come down from the north off the Trail 2 grade to 13 and stop at the Cisco bar as you get onto the chain.

As most have stated. You have the casino food is good and plenty to do just north of town. Right in town there is the roadhouse bar with no real food it is in same building as the food store. Next to the bar is a restaurant that does breakfast and lunch and is pretty good. Then 15 miles west of town is Roger’s bar just down the road from trail 13 on old 2. Awesome place great people good bar food as all have said. Then you have Cisco lake bar and grill at the end of trail 13 nice place decent food. And if you want to take the lake down to Bent’s great food also as others have stated. That is it for right near Watersmeet. My guess is you were in the Roadhouse bar and yes probably not what a lot of people would want for a spot to stop.
