Watersmeet Trails

The system has been groomed. The guys were out for 11hr on Monday getting the system open! There were lots of trees down so the chain saws were out. The trails are in good to fair condition. There are some wet spots on trail 2 in between trail 13N intersection and Marenisco. Also on Trail 13S heading to Rogers Bar and Cisco Chain. Please use caution in the early season you never know what will be around the corner! Groomers make frequent stops this time of the year keep your eye out for them…Thank you

Mrs bear can you give us any additional info on the Bruce's crossing area trails or the 107 and iron river systems. Me and the wifey are heading up this weekend and just looking for any extra info.

Thanx for the update!! The groomer pic are awesome, that had to be a blast working with the deep stuff and getting the trails ready for the first time.

Not sure if you have checked msasnow.org yet this season but looks like both the Bruce Crossing and Iron River clubs have updated their report, they note a couple bad sections or closed trails to be aware of. But I am sure Mrs. Bear could give you even more detailed info!

Thanks for the reports. Your trails were as good or better than any we rode last week from Mercer to Sidnaw ( Tuesday - Thursday) All of your trails we rode were excellent ( 2,3 & 107)

Groomers are running nightly again and the trails are in fair to good shape. The fair areas are the wet spots on trail 2 west and 13 south the rest of the system is in good shape. It is -4 so the cold night should have set the trails up nicely

Thanks for all the nice comments :) I'll be sure to pass them along

Does anybody know if they are running Goegebic yet or the Cisco Chain? Thanks.

I personally wouldn't ride any lake at this time, but check with the Hoop N Holler or Bergland Bay Bar they will give you good advice

For the chain I have a call in to our good friends at Vacationland, I'll report later

Thanks for the grooming reports! My group is coming up to Casino Dec 26, plan on stopping at Rodgers since weve never been there before, was hoping to hit Bents camp but were not risking the ice yet... unless the cold snap changes things between now and then. I wanna take 107 North to kenton-sidnaw as well. Is it a nice trail up to Baraga?? Thanks!!

Groomers did not run last night but are going out today. Bear is out right now, close to 5 inches have fallen since last night and he said it's packing well. They will most likely go out Christmas eve, but will not run Christmas day

*CAUTION* on trail 3 just south of Bond Falls. There is a large wet hole in middle of the trail, it has been marked with ribbon and you can safely get around the outside

Watersmeet trails are all in good to very good condition. Lots of traffic out there, 190 some sleds counted by one of the drivers so be careful! Stay on your side of the trail!!

If you want to go to Bent's Camp, you don't need to use the lakes. Thousand Island rd is a designated trail all the way from 2 to the WI border then a spur to Bent's Camp.
