Wear Rods, what is best.

A question for all, looking for opinions on dually carbides for general trail riding, what type or brand are best? I presently ride a AC 1100 4stroke and use Woodys duallys, but I think there must be something better.

Bergstrom triple points work well & wear very well. Snowtrackers are up & comers for trail riding but unlike any other carbide set up. Steering with Snowtrackers has to be the lightest ever & turn better than any other carbide but you have to install them as directed or will oversteer big time.

I am not just looking for wear but handling also, do we still agree on the Bergstroms.

I have experience with the twin carbide runners like Dooly and Bergstrom triple points.
With the shims and ski savers in place I really like the wear and handling characteristics of the Bergstrom rod. The other thing I like about Bergstrom is the service, very nice people.

In my experience the Dooly ( not sure I'm spelling it right) pushed and liked to get hung up on my trailer ramp for some reason.

Since season is pretty much over go straight thru them online. Been a while since I bought any but if remember correctly might be a bit of a wait but well worth it. I want to try snowtrakers but these tripples just wont wear out to try. Going on four seasons and honestly look almost as good as the day I bought them.

As everyone has said, they are great. They will wear forever, when you add the shims and ski savers (free with your order) you eliminate a lot of darting and the cornering is great. They even provide great cornering on bare blacktop which is a good thing to have this time of the year as you get to those bare gas stations and road crossings.

Don't order through the website, call them and they will take good care of you. Better yet, if you're in the neighborhood (I'm two miles from them) just stop by, it's always fun to shoot the bull with Scott for a half hour. He'll always share some gem of knowledge with you that you didn't know.

Not cheap, but well with the investment long term.

X2 snowtrackers handle better than any other carbide but my bergstrom triples last forever. I just might have to pull the Bergstroms off & go with snowtrackers the handling improvement is worth it. I'll just see what kind of year we have in 2015 if scabby conditions the bergstroms stay. In my mind snowtrackers #1 bergstroms #2 as far as handling things change as tech moves on.

We run Bergstrom triple point on all of our rental sleds at M&M, they handle good and wear like iron, we can usually get 8000-10000 miles on a set of Bergstrom triples, that means less ski's worn out and less labor checking and changing carbides on our fleet. You will need to do a little more "tuning" to get the darting out completely but it's worth it. The dooly's are pretty much bolt on and darting is gone but they will not wear as good or turn as good as a Bergstrom. We also stock Bergstrom triples for Arctic Cat and Yamaha.
