Weird thing just happened!!!

I sat in the recliner tonight and ate dinner well under the table next to me I have a plastic coffee can fulled with couple 22 mag shell few shot gun slug shells and a lot of other odds and ends.Well anyways sitting here eaing and one of the 22 mag shells decided to go off and scare the **** out of me!!!I've never seen a shell go off all by itself its not like the can was being moved around nobody touched it.

Shells have been known to go off from static electricity, was a some what common issue when folks would try polishing brass on lived ammo back in take home from war rounds.
To have one just go off on its own, is rare, wonder if some sort of static charge transfered from?? To it?
