Western UP riding

Hey folks,

I'm coming to Ironwood next weekend to do some riding. I'm new to the area so I'm looking for some advice on where to ride. I'd like to do a combination of on-trail and off-trail riding, if possible. What do you suggest? Any help would be appreciated.

Can't help you with off trail riding...but I can tell you...they have had groomer problems east of ironwood...the trails in and around bessemer, wakefield and marinesco...were very rough.

Thanks for the heads-up on the trails. I'll make sure to check the trail reports before we head in that direction.

The northern part of Iron county/Hurley area which is done by the White Thunder Riders are in great shape with constant grooming going on and I was informed by the GRTA that they will have second groomer up and running later today, so Bessemer to marenesco will be groomed on Friday morning and Ironwood to Bessemer is groomed on daily basis as long as both groomers are operating.
