Im a little concerned the 10 day and extended out forecast, as they stand now, isn't going to help this problem out much! Im supposed to be in Bergland on the 18th!

Too me Bergland is soupy in Jan on a sunny day.. it is what it is... always going to be wet areas on opening day...deal with it or sit out. Plenty of high ground trails to ride & the place to be right now.

It's going to take a LOT of COLD weather to freeze up some areas and yes the 10 day 4cast doesn't call for sub zero temps. Many areas like this have springs where the water flows 365 but they ice over and you never see them. Dang I hope I'm wrong but some trails this year are just going to be garbage until things freeze up and groomers can go across them safely.

Usually just west of Gogebic lake it is real soupy. I am just hoping trails are good enough to get me to the higher grade trails. Im sure we will be fine, being optimistic!

You would not believe some of the early season water we used to skip on mid 90s sleds from White Pine to Silver City. They have rerouted the trail around that area going into Silver City but we managed aok. Just have to be aware & like momoney get on that throttle:)

If you are going slow enough in a swamp for that to happen it is gonna happen. You control your own destiny.

I'm heading up Dec 26, I am hoping that after next weeks thaw, the temps drop and hold, and the LES machine fires back up!

Please keep us posted on the trail issues/improvements. I am coming up regardless but I would feel better knowing things improve later this month.
