We in N/W Illinois, had the best snowfall/storm in years two weeks ago. Very good riding as the wind did not destroy it. It lasted only 6 days as thaw came in, now its hard as concrete. Without the 3 day thaw it would have been good riding for some time.

Surprisingly...our trails are holding up pretty good in northern wisconsin....just the high traffic areas (in and around towns) are snirty...we have only received around 6 inches of snow in last 3 1/2 weeks...but I have found some very good trails out in the wooded areas...there is a bit of ice in the corners...and a few of pine forested areas are a bit thin...but otherwise...they aren't bad at all...if we could just get a 6 plus inch storm...they would be outstanding.

Trails here at home, Marquette county Wi, have not opened yet this season. Currently have about 3 inches on the ground. Glad my sled is up nort in deep snow country.

Interesting chart. All the media has been focused on the northeast, I heard NBC's Brian Williams say "it's the worst he's seen in centurys", yet Marquette nearly doubles Boston. Gotta hand it to them Yoopers!

You know my story! LOL!

Today's winds though,...wow!
Constant.
Haven't seen a constant wind at about 10mph plus the gusts
in a long time,.. the dustings we had are all piled up by any hedges, bushes,
or anything that can block it. just barely ground cover in Peshtigo.
For Valentines Day 2015,...
Mother Nature is sticking it to us in this area.
STRANGE WINTER INDEED!

Last year the snow stayed late. We went to Wisc the first weekend in March and there was lots of snow and there were about 3 major dumps after that. Not over yet.

This is what I'm hoping for. I haven't been able to get up north yet.

Those snow amounts don't look to bad, up until last Tuesday we were at about 10 inches for the season, we are now up to almost 15 inches. I did start grooming on Thursday and should groom at least 4 days this week, not much snow though
