What a year.... What a crappy winter...

I don't really see it as whining, just venting frustration and i get that. It is disappointing that traditional areas that you can ride right out your back door for at least a little bit in a winter didn't pan out this year, that's not my scenario since i live in the pit of he** Illinois. Not everyone has the luxury of traveling for the snow. I am lucky, going on my fourth trip of the season and my shortest trip lasts 4 days and longest trip is 12 days.

I'm headed north this weekend and this'll be the last ride for me this year. Though I fully expect what I call "nuisance snows" for the next month, maybe a couple of storms thrown in just to make a big sloppy mess.

I normally have way more miles on my sled than my truck, in the winter. Not the case this year, have had to trailer every ride this year minimum of 140 miles. 1700 or so on yhe sled but something in the area of 2500+ on the truck and trailer to do it.

You get comped a room everytime you mention THEM?
Some people actually like to sled everyday out their backdoor. Not to mention without dropping 2k all the time. Just saying.

Boston had their record snow, next year's Wi, Mn turn!!!!!!

Lol, I wish. Only doing 2 weeks of riding this year. One was at Cooke. Other.... Well yes, Togwotee. I do not pay $2000 per trip. Combined trips not even that. I should get a comp. now that you mention it. Lol. Riding Irons, Mi tomorrow and Saturday., after all I bought a trail permit. (Sarcasm ). Just gotta syphon me some gas.

Amazing what one can do when cigarettes and blow are not part of the budget. It's a priority thing. To me it becomes a "whine" when one thinks they deserve snow and it don't happen. There is always next year.

Lol.. ok... just checking....to see if I could get in on deal too. ;)

I totally get making most of it and going where snow is. But what really makes winter enjoyable and go by for me is being able to get done with work and hit trails for quick hundred before dinner.

I can't complain too much because I have put on 1500+ miles this season with 3 trips to the UP and if the snow lasts until the end of the month I will go again and put on 500-600 more. But I also believe if you live in Minnesota, Wisconsin or Michigan you should not have to travel to ride in the winter. We all live in snow country. Just imagine how bad the summer lovers would whine if the weather was 55 and rain all summer.

Not just cigs and blow. Some of us have kids and their sports, thats more the hold up for me. (I was still able to get away 3 weekends)

There is a bright side to no snow here where I live. We do not have to prepare for a spring flood. Won't miss that in the least. I would much rather trailer to the snow than sandbag.

I usually am able to do average of 1500 mi from the house and 2-3 trips to N. MN riding. Not enough snow to make going north to ride worth it. Fine by me, good ice on the lakes made it easy to chase them walleye around. I learned a few years ago to have another hobby in case of no snow. As long as its cold and I get a break from the miserable heat of summer life is good. Maybe next year we'll get good snow, if not I'll be chasing eyes again.

Hey guys, I probably would be bitch in to on a regular year. But been so busy with building a new house and work, that I actually would like to see the snow gone. Took $200 in kerosene just to melt the snow in my basement.
