What All Do You Do to Clean and Summarize

I am curious what are all the things that other people do to clean and summarize your sleds. My routine consists or:

1. Scrub all exhaust stains off
2. Wash
3. Wax
4. Armor-All (not the seat)
5. Grease
6. Fog
7. Pull Plugs and Spray Fogging Oil in Cylinders
8. Pull Battery
9. Remove Belt

Wow! I stuff it in the garage and pull out a summer toy! 2,5.6 trade. Is how I do it.

Well, I washed it, then I amour all'ed it, then I sucked most of the gas out of it, added some seafoam, let it run for awhile, then pushed it over to one side of the garage. There, summerized.

Pretty much exactly what I do. Altho before I fog I get all the gas out of the tank, add a bit of seafoam and after the fogging I drain the carbs.

Been doing the extra bit with the gas mainly out of habit since for many years we had fours sleds total for the two of us (backup and for others use) and sometimes the 2 sleds would not get used the following year so I did not want the gas in there for two or more years. So I would just do the same procedure for all sleds. For example we are down to one spare, this past season it was not used but last season it was only used two days, so if I did not take the gas out it would be 2 year old gas if I need to crank it up next season. Don't add to much time IMO.

I do most of what was said above. In addition to that I do the following so the sled is ready to go next winter:

1. Remove the rear suspension, clean, inspect, check all mounting bolts, touch up paint if needed, clean & re-pack track wheel bearings, grease all grease fittings-also the drive shaft bearing! Re-install skid into sled, adjust track tension & alignment.

2. Remove & clean exhaust (power) valves.

3. Change chaincase oil, adjust drive-chain tension.

4. Grease jackshaft bearing.

5. Check all nuts, bolts, screws, hose clamps on the sled.

6. Clean any areas that need it.

7. Check for anything that could be a potential issue, such as coolant hoses rubbing on aluminum-found one on my current sled-put a piece of automotive radiator hose around it secured with zip-ties-good to go!

8. Wash/wax the hood.

9. Clean/polish tunnel

Ready to go for next winter!

Washed, seafoamed, removed the battery out of one sled and the belts out of both, and sprayed fogging oil in the cylinders. I still have to grease them but I will do that before I take them to storage in a few weeks.

Grease and Seafoam. That is it.

They got washed on the last trip when we skipped a bit of water on Lake Superior.

did you stand up while you were water skipping? did you have the garden tools inside your backpack in case you sunk it?
