What do You Carry Your Gear in?

For years I've been stuffing my gear in giant duffel bags that I bought at the snow shows. It works, but I was wondering if it would be easier to get a big Rubbermaid tote or something like that and just put it all in there. Any thoughts?

Switched last year to Rubbermaid totes. Different color for me, my son, and the extra gear (wife's old stuff). Won't go back to the bags.

You forgot about your tunnel bag for refreshments...

There is a snobunge in there to tug you out of trouble. Did you buy a sled yet?

Got some sweet Klim luggage for Christmas that will get used for "Rock star" trips. I just noticed Tagear doesn't sell their bags anymore. They are built for abuse.

I was just complaining to my wife about this subject. I have used totes before, but I find they are a PIA. Big bulky and usually have to make more than one trip to truck. I told her I wanted a roller gear bag, but decent ones are stupid expensive and the wheels are just to small especially when dragging across snow. So I've been looking for something with big wheels. Not having much luck.

So Christmas morning I open a gift. It happens to be a HMK Sherpa bag. At first looking at it, I was a little reluctant. It's a big gear bag that can be carried by the handle or put it on like a big backpack. But I used it last weekend in the UP. We had to go up some fairly steep stairs in a narrow hall. Which is the case a lot of times out west. It worked great. Granted, I only had one helmet, two pairs of boots, one set of sledding outer wear, toiletries, and a couple days worth of clothes. When we go out west I have much more, 2 helmets, 2 sets of outer wear, 2 sets of boots, and a week worth of clothes, etc.
I'm going to WY next week so I will let you know how it goes.

Rubbermaid totes, or something similiar, is the way to go. Cheap, easy and dont have to worry about wet spots in trailer

I had a feeling I'd get some great feedback. I'm heading up tomorrow and I have a tote I'm going to try. I'd be happy if I can get everything except my helmet in one bin. I like my helmet bag but if it fits in there, too, even better. I figure I'll also bring a soft bag for non-riding gear and toiletries.

I'm sure you guys have something similar, but I have always had a tote just for trailering. Small jack, extra bulbs, jumper cables, duct tape, electrical tester and crimping tools, etc. It also goes with when I tow the boat.

Go to any hockey outlet. You can get a bag for $60 with wheels. If you want to bring a lot of gear get a goalie bag

I don't even think mine's a name brand. Definitely couldn't stand on it. The lid is getting a little more difficult to click on so maybe I'll upgrade to the $20 HD models.

Just make sure to hang dry everything before stuffing it in a tote. Threw my stuff in a tote and forgot about it for a few weeks once and it wasn't pretty when I opened it up.
