Excellent, started the season at Lodi on December 22nd. Rode 3 times in Central Wisconsin, 3 times in the UP north of Greenland, 2 times in Vilas County, and the trip west to Grand Lake, CO. 3 days at Rabbit Ears and a day on Gravel Mountain. Excellent season! Hope next year is as good as this year!

Crap season.

Less than 200 miles on the sled for the year, only got out 3 times, my furthest trip north was to Wausau. Never got a chance to get up to my uncles place in Manitawish Waters/Mercer area.

Blew $400 on new brake lines cause the idiots that installed the new pipes on my truck never checked the clearance of the old ones and they melted through while towing the trailer. Not fun having no brakes at 65mph.

And now I think the last trip I did take messed up something in the engine cause it's starting to stutter as I'm driving. Knowing my luck, another $1000+ job there.

ugh.

The sun rising before my first ride of the season

It was a good/very good year. Like almost everywher it started bad. My first real ride was the end of January near International Falls, MN. We started to get snow about the 6th or 7th of February and it got better each week until March 19th. My last ride unless we get a good snowfall was yesterday in northern MN, 280 miles, trails were mostly great, and we only met 2 other sleds on the trail. If we had snow in December it would have been a great year.

Ended up being a very good year for me. Two trips to Boulder Junction with my wife, two trips with the guys, one in Mercer and one to Runningbear in Paulding. Even got to ride a little at home too. Good to Great conditions on all trips. Timing is everything. I was getting a bit worried with the slow start to the season, but once it got rolling it kept rolling.

One thing I have learned this year is to not give up on the season too early. I took two trips that I thought would not happen in March this year after I said I was "done" for the season. You just never know when it will end and some years last quite a bit longer than others.

The time spent with my family and friends was priceless as well as the many great people and business owners we encountered on these trips this year. It is refreshing to know there are still people out there who "get it." That is what makes snowmobiling a special deal and unique way to see things and have fun.

Hopefully next season will be just as good if not better!

My "benchmark" for each season is 1000 miles (I hate to call it a "goal", because my real goal is to ride and make sure everybody gets back safely, regardless of miles). So.....successfully achieved the latter and although I did meet my "benchmark" (barely) the best part was that we got to introduce our 3 year old granddaughter to the wonderful world of snowmobiling -- which is part of the reason for fewer miles, but the smiles were definitely worth it!

Priceless! One mile with grandchild= 10,000 miles with riding buds! If not more!

Yes priceless. I had a slow start, went on 5 trips, have to call it good ( better than last year ). I need some sun, up until this weekend it seems like the sun hasn't been shinning for months.

Priceless, indeed. Though like most everybody else we had a slow start, but made up for it. SnowCoach is now sitting in the yard waiting for next year, but she still wants to play in her "snowmobile"! She had her first 100+ mile ride at the MSA Ride-In in February and was the hit of the party!

Though we had more miles last year, conditions were definitely better this year, and I'll take quality miles over quantity miles any day.
