What to use to attach enclosed trailer panels

I have a 12" section of vertical seam on the exterior of my trailer that needs to be fixed. It is coming apart at the seam. What type of adhesive is best for this?

Also, once I apply the adhesive should I use tape to hold the two panels together? I'm thinking duct tape would leave residue behind.

sorry no idea on the adhesive, after you do put the adhesive on can you put a 2x4 over the seam then run a ratchet strap (ya will need to add some rope or another strap or 3) around the entire trailer (over the top and under the frame) and of course over the 2x4. Basically making a temporary band aide. I don't know if the duck tape would have enough "pull" to keep the panel in place.

they do sell tape that is not supposed to leave be hind residue, it's called graphers (sp?) tape and it come in wide rolls just like duck tape, nit sure how it works in cold temps.

on a side note if you do try the duck tape and it leaves behind adhesive do not use Goof Off, yup I used some and it actually remove the white paint off my aluminum skin (O was I pissed). Go gone works pretty good and did not affect the paint.

Call the trailer company or the distributor.
They can literally strip a trailer to I-Beams and rebuild it piece by piece, they can tell you about the adhesive in 2 seconds.
