The Yamaha Pro Action found on the SRX and SX Viper's and 97 up Vmax's. I bought a 2002 SX Viper new and still have it, even to this day it is fun to ride. Definitely can't compare to the new sleds with the even longer travel suspension, but when the trails are smooth the Pro Actions shine.
I even liked the Pogo stick strut suspension chassis from the prior era Vmax's (I still have the 1996 Vmax 500 that I bought new) always wanted a Vmax 4 back then, just couldn't afford one.
I loved my 02 Viper especially after they came out with the shock update, that thing rode like a s... brick house when I first got it. It was sneaky fast you wouldn't realize how fast you were going. The engine was so smooth and it just cruised down the trail effortlessly and handled amazing.

I remember many people changing out the shocks for a better ride. I'm a rather big dude, so the way it came from the factory worked really well for me. My Viper runs really good yet, I actually do enjoy riding it but also once you ride the new technology sleds the old one's just aren't quite as appealing as they once were.
