Now that the calendar says it's officially Autumn, our thoughts may turn to the upcoming Snowmobile season. There's still plenty of time to consider what and where you'll be riding this coming season. Trips to plan, parts to order, maybe a serious look at the new stuff, a considerable list for the coming weeks and months. But it's all fun and part of the experience of making the most of the winter months. Some are envious, many think we're nuts and the reality is that it will be cold and it will snow somewhere and we need to be ready for it when it does.

I'll be staying with my current model again this year. It's a Four Stroke with low miles and looking forward to waking her up from her long summer's sleep!

I'll be on the same thing I've been on since 2013. It's a 4s, paid for long ago, and so far they haven't come out with anything that makes me want to take on a new payment. 😎

same here. same sleds as the last 4 years. Haven't ridden since March 2023 so two full seasons without any miles. Sleds are ready to go and now we wait for snow. I'm looking forward for snow to fly but not quite yet. Weather is still nice and want to enjoy that for now. Based on some reports I'm seeing this upcoming winter could be like the 2013/2014 winter. I don't keep logs but I know I was riding a lot back then so that's good to hear. I guess it's based on conditions in the oceans and jet stream and how things are almost exactly as they were back then

I've been keeping a Log Book since around 2010 recording our weather, trips, and conditions. Speaking for Wisconsin & the Upper Midwest, 2013-14 was a very good winter for snowmobiling. We had a few thaws but for the most part, it was COLD and we had frequent snows to offset the warm ups. Waist deep snow in the woods was common and stucks were the norm if you got off trail with the short tracks. Local trails were open, well into March that year. So yes, the winter of 2013/14 was what many at the time called, "a winter like we used to have". It's been 11 years since, I think we're due for another one......Think Snow!

Staying on my 18 cat 600 one more year. Will be over 10k after the next trip. Never thought I'd keep it this long, but kids sports and activities take up much of my time and quite a bit of $ too. That won't last too many more years and I wouldn't trade it. Still get out riding every year a couple times at least.

Looking forward to a full season on the 25 Sidewinder I picked up the last weekend of March. I did get 450 miles on the final couple of days of March, but a season of 2,500+ would be awesome. I'm keeping the 18 Sidewinder as a backup sled, it has a little over 12,000 miles on it.

I'll be riding a 2025 Arctic Cat ZR 600 with ATAC. The dealer hasn't called me yet about picking it up, so I've got no pictures to share. But I'm excited to get off of my 2014 ZR 7000 Sno Pro. It's been a great sled and that Yamaha motor is bullet proof, but I'm getting too old to be moving and lifting that heavy tank of a sled. I hoping I'm shedding about 200lbs in switching sleds.
