whats the top speed?

I just bought a 2011 yamaha phazer mtx and my top speed is only 66. Is that normal or should i get more speed once it is broke in more? Thanks

seems low to me, but my 07 gt took about 500 miles till it came to life, now runs about mid 80s on the dream o meter

I had an 07 mtn lite and dream meter would hit 85-87 on a hard pack trail. those motors rock

Sounds like you might have the high alt. gearing yet. Mine does, but thats good for the trip out west.

Engines don't go as fast or get as good a gas mileage until they're broken in. I wouldn't worry too much, since that's not a top speed sled anyways, could have high altitude clutching and gearing though.

I have had a 2007 and a 2009 MTX if you did not have the dealer reclutch or regear that speed is about right. I only reclutched mine and top speed was about 75 mph.
