I heard from both Guy at Lake Gogebic Sport Center and Josh at the Hoop, that signs have been knocked over or removed around the Lake Gogebic area. I also heard that Tom from Bergland Bay Bar is offering a reward on his website. All it would take is for a stop signed to be removed that could result in a fatal accident. Business signs are also being removed. Once again, a small number of idiots are giving all of us a bad name. Let's all work together to catch these guys so they can get what they deserve. Many of these signs are the property of the DNR and they do not take this lightly. The following was posted on the Lake Gogebic trail condition report by Carolyn from the Hoop 'N Holler.
"It appears we have an individual, or group of individuals, in our area tearing down a number of our trail signs. If you should witness this please get the sled number if possible and notify the state police in Wakefield. If you should notice any signs missing, especially any “stop ahead” or “stop” signs, please notify George at the Hoop ‘N Holler Tavern at 906-575-5555."
