Signals

OK last Sat. we taught our MN. snowmobile safety class, and yes, we did teach all the signals, even turns.. Now I have an opinion on signals but, I've NEVER seen anybody out in the woods using left and right turn signals like we teach them to use. Sometimes I think some things are "overkill". I would rather see everyone keep their hands on the bars and under control. Thank You.

we get no signal before the first rider because there's no one to signal and, after that were aware of riders, 1, 10, 6 riders, makes no matter. I fully understand it's a idea to promote safety, it's courteous but in reality is noneffective. I wish we could get into the specifics not just our preferences

I give the bird to any idiot telling me how many people are in their group. I don't care how many riding buddys you have, I want you to stay on your own side of the damn trail and never mind me. Almost hit some jackoffasaur with my truck cuz he was trying to give his hand signals to someone on the other side of the road and couldn't stop. He slid right out in the road and almost got smashed.

hand signals are a courtesy and NOT required, and actually are looked down upon in the saftey course.. I am 33 y.o. and I took the saftey course in October, didn't have to, but figured why not. Taking the course got me thinking enough to possibly persue becoming an instructor of the course. Saftey first and always. Keep your hand on the bars. Like I said, its a courtesy and if a group ever got ticked off enough for the oncoming sleds to NOT signal, then they belong on the snow-cross track.
