"Cheers" star George Wendt has died.

The actor died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, according to a statement from a family representative.

"George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him," the statement read.

"Hey Norm, how's the world been treating you?"
"Like a baby treats a diaper."

"Whatcha up to, Norm?"
"My ideal weight if I were eleven feet tall."

"What's the story, Norm?"
"Boy meets beer. Boy drinks beer. Boy meets another beer."

"Would you like a beer, Mr. Peterson?"
"No, I'd like a dead cat in a glass."

"How's it going, Mr. Peterson?"
"It's a dog-eat-dog world, Woody, & I'm wearing Milk Bone underwear."

The clips were a flash from the past! He was a good actor on a good show. Sadly, they don't make'em that way anymore. Condolences to his family & friends.

It made me sad when I heard the news. Cheers was one of the best shows on TV when I was in college. I'm pretty sure I have watched every episode like 10 times.

That was the age of no reality shows. How nice was that. Like many have said that was a great show. From memory that was a great night of a lot of good shows on NBC. His bits in Saturday night live were funny too. Rest in peace

I loved Cheers as well and 'Namy'.
Sadly, reality shows will be around for a while. Like the crime documentarys, the networks don't pay anyone on those types of shows except the host/interviewer and the crew. No stars to pay.
