I know its early for this but i cant help it.I purchased a new sled a Yamaha Apex in early spring and am kind of eager to get my Gear ready for this years riding. I looked kind of funny riding an Apex With cat green on the last few rides last spring. So does anyone know of a place or web sight to check out .thanks

Most snow shows have leftover gear at a very reasonable price and after that the dealers. Current year models are going to go for full price online or dealer. If you got your sled last year which is what you indicated by your comments. Then last years gear would fit right in.

I would say Hay Days or Ebay. I have done real well on both. I also would say buy Klim, then you can still use it when you buy another new sled. I rode many different sleds over 10 years with FXR gear, it was the best gear I have ever owned, still looks new.

Good question but good luck finding Yamaha gear on sale. Yamaha cut back outerwear gear 2 years ago & just have not contracted to make more. I told Kip & Chad riding up to buy Yammy turtleneck both said have not made any in 2 years only aftermarket stuff. You would have to run into Ma & Pa that went out of biz & was sitting on 3-4 year old Yamaha stuff. Rode my Attak with purple doo stuff then went basic black Arctivia 4 in 1 still have doo black bibs with probably 20,000 miles still AOK. Everytime I touch a pair of new bibs my wife gives me that look. She is right tho since I bought Poo gear, Cat gear, 2 sets of Doo gear & now Arctivia. Just no used market for the old stuff. Wish there was.

Hay Days is good place to get riding gear if you plan on going there. Lots of different brands of gear. Klim and Yamaha hooked up last year.

Check -Highlands Yamaha- website, great deals on there. Hard to try it on from Indy, though unless you are close enough to the border for a road trip. Call first, to make sure they have the sled stuff OUT.

For any one that plans to purchase a new jacket, bibs act. at Hay Days I would suggest you do a little "window shopping" before you get to Hay Days. A lot of people assume just because it's for sale at Hay Days its a great price. NOT TRUE. Some dealers bring their inventory and sell it at "normal price". But other dealers do bring last years stuff and sell it at great prices.

We went to the novi show a couple years ago and it seemed like there were good prices on prior year gear. I think that's one nice thing about brand-specific gear compared to Klim, etc. Once the sleds change colors, the last year's gear gets a whole lot cheaper. I haven't seen Klim or the others really ever marked down much.

Highlands Yamaha has a major sale in the fall right around the Milwaukee show. They send me a flyer because I am a past customer. I'm sure if you call them they will send you one too. The sale is really worth it.

Klim doesn't need to mark down their stuff but they do. try Bristows at the Novi show. Shade tree marks down previous yr. Klim also.

What's the difference what you wear. Had a buddy a few years back stop in at my cabin unexpectly. Another friend of mine and I were already there to going riding so I asked my unexpected buddy if he wanted to ride with us he could take my daughters Artic Cat Puma. He said ya but only had his winter boots and some long-johns. Said not a problem as we headed out, I was suited up in all Ski-Doo leathers, my one buddy in all Yami gear. Our unexpected friend looked pretty cool riding the AC with a AC helmet, ski-doo jacket and Yami bibs. At least he was pretty much politically correct. Sorry no Poo gear.
