Oh boy, I was thinking "low depreciation" is "ONE" reason Doo has the highest sales but now I have to support Brad 400.
My guess is the 600 carb is popular because the combination of low depreciation and dependability are most important to a Dealer when renting. Yamaha has the dependability but the customer wants to rent a current year model and changing out a new Yamaha rental fleet annually is mega bucks when the 600 carb Doo is about 6,700 (Dealer cost) with E-S.

IMO Doo must be nearly giving away those carbed sleds to large rental fleets. good strategy....it gets them out there in the public eye.
Polaris should do the same.....who wouldn't choose an Indy CFI 600 over an old school Doo ?

Perhaps if we find out the reason snowbuilder dislikes Doo, and Doo riders so bad, we will find the reason why Doo sells so many snowmobiles??? It's a deep mystery for sure. And, as for snowbuilders comments to me, again I say so what!!!

Doo sells so many because they still have carbs that sell to rental fleets...that's the only reason they sell more is the rental fleets. There are so many Yamahas riding in the UP cause its the sled of century there and there is no way Yamaha owns small market share cause on way to breakfast you see 4 yamahas and no ski-doos. the Polaris CFI is so much better than doo's sport why do people only buy carbed doo's. How is the 600etec the #1 selling 600 when doo sells so many carbed sleds to rental fleets. that's the only reason doo is # 1. did I mention the Yamaha apex is sled of the century in the U.P. and doo only sells a ton cause rental fleets. One other thing is how does doo even sell the new chassis when Yamaha SRX triples and yamahas in general out handle the doo no problem always have. O yea rental fleets duhhhh

You forgot that Doo also pads their numbers in addition to giving rentals company owners free vacations and other perks. It's a big scam. They should be put of business along with Cat.

Yea they should be put out of business they pad #s we know this because we sit it on the meetings and read it on the internet. No one buys these things besides rental fleets.... Not sure why me riding mostly away from huge Doo rental fleets gets you guys upset.
I like riding in Munising despite the large rental fleets....even stray over where trackside rents there fleet of Doos and Poos.
I just prefer the less populated trails overall.

Seems like Doo makes an incredible sled...it's the owners that scare me. What's with all that yellow with a big X on their sleds? The McDoo, the Duckface, this year they even have a smurf colored sled.

What fool spends $10k+ on a toy that depreciates fast in a good snow year, and unbelievably in a poor snow year, to use maybe 3 months in a good year?
What fool spends hours in the truck and $$$ in gas, not to mention bad road conditions, to ride on snow that maybe crappy, and ungroomed?
What fool spends $$$$ on a crappy hotel room with crappy showers and either heat that doesn't work or is way to hot, to ride on previously described crappy snow?
What fool spends $$$ all summer long to have new carbides or slides, or more HP, or better handling only to have a catastrophic failure or run in with a tree or other sledder on a tight trail, on the first trip up north for the winter?
And what fool spends $$$ on a rental or new sled up north because that sled you just spent all summer on blew up or met a tree?


We could go on and on.....


But to non snowmobilers, do we look like a cult? I mean something has to be wrong with us to waste so much time and $$$ on this hobby.
